This Magazine Review

So This Magazine reviewed the Shameless Anthology a while back and made mention of the piece Zoe Whittall and I did. Check it out.

Youthline Auction 2009

Every year I look forward to donating a piece to the Youthline auction to help raise funds for them.

This year I have been experimenting with digital portraits of animals meeting. Further back in this blog you can see a commissioned piece that featured a badger and a bear meeting. This time around I had a little chipmunk meet the bear. Its the piece I'm going to donate to the auction this year. Its called "Meet Me In The Flowers".

My personal challenge has been taking the digital files and finessing them and then outputting them in a way that feels less digital and more analog. I think I'm succeeding. Working in natural, earthy tones have helped, so has printing on similarly coloured paper stock. "Meet Me In The Flowers" has also been printed on a beautiful 'latte' coloured Linen cardstock.

I won't go too far into my concept or inspiration for this series at this point. When I've continued the series through I'll write more about it all then. At this stage I'm calling this series Personify and I'm just having fun with it.
